Dear Supporter of Kathy’s Angels Foundations,
In my wildest dreams, I never could have imagined the world as it is today. Everyone has been touched in some way by this virus including the Children of St. Jude’s Ranch.
Due to COVID-19, our volunteers were unable to take the children shopping as we have for the past 10 plus years. Since the children are quarantined to their own homes and are not allowed to visit other children on the ranch as they normally would the house parents took the children in their homes to do the shopping.
I am very pleased to say your donations last year amounted to $27,907.31 for the children of Saint Jude‘s Ranch. I thank you for your generosity. Your support allowed for Kathy’s Angels Foundation to pay for five complete outfits and one pair of shoes along with a box lunch from Subway for all the children at the ranch. We were also able to donate over $700 to Kathy’sCloset. Kathy’s Closet helps the new children that arrive at the ranch with nothing but the clothes on their back. When shopping was completed our volunteers were invited to participate in a virtual call with the children and staff at the ranch. It was fun watching the children show off their new clothes. The children were happy to see us as well.
This year has been rough for all charities, as donations are down across-the-board. With the current pandemic conditions and the possibility of future lockdowns, we have not been able to be involved in events that helped with our fundraising. Our live auction is our biggest fundraiser and we are hopeful that we will be able to hold it live in a few months, if not, we are preparing to hold an online auction. We will email everyone about the auction, live or online, when the date and time is set.
While much has been taken away from us this year, we still have much for which to be thankful. Personally I am thankful for each day, for my faith, my family, our supporters and the ability to continue with my passion of supporting the children in our community. I write this letter with heartfelt concern for all as I must reach out to you once again and ask for your support for the children at Saint Jude‘s Ranch.
I know in my heart that you will give what you can. Whatever that is, I thank you and appreciate you. This coming year will be difficult, but with help comes hope, and it is your help that gives us hope.
